Digital Health Academy

Build a digital-ready workforce

93% of healthcare professionals believe that digital health tools can improve patients’ health. However, they may not have the skills or knowledge to put this motivation into practice.

Organisations are now looking to upskill and equip health and care professionals with a set of digital health competencies.

The Digital Health Academy is an online training centre for all health and care professionals, giving you the knowledge, skills and confidence to safely use digital health in practice.

The Academy has now launched for everyone, and so is available here for all frontline workers in the NHS and social care, as well as anyone else who wishes to learn more about digital health.

“A digital health academy is a must, because, although it’s great that healthcare providers are continuing to invest in digital health, it’s vital that we also provide our brilliant health and care professional staff with the right knowledge to enable them to use the tools on offer to deliver the best care for patients.”

– Dr Neville Young, Director of Enterprise and Innovation, Yorkshire and Humber Academic Health Science Network

“I’m always asked by clinicians which health apps they should be recommending; which are safe, which are effective and which will meet the needs of their patients. Our ORCHA health app library gives our clinicians the digital tools to recommend apps and now the Digital Academy programme also provides them with the skills, knowledge and confidence to really make a difference.

“The ORCHA Digital Academy has helped to demystify digital health, strengthen our clinicians digital skills and boost their confidence in using healthcare apps. The bite-sized modules are easy to follow, interesting and relevant and designed to flexibility fit around our clinicians busy jobs. I would highly recommend.”
